How to teach children to guard their thoughts.
It's surprising how many people are ruled by their emotions and thoughts and don't even know it! What's even more surprising is how little people understand about how their brain works, and how thoughts serve as its map.
In Pete and the Pirates we dig deep into these subjects to help children learn how to create mind maps for success. We also explore the obstacles that keep them from success. For fun, we call these obstacles, "Life Pirates" because they come to steal our treasures and destroy our dreams.
Our mantra for Pete and the Pirates is: The Treasure in Me.
The kids will obviously know we're out to discover the treasure inside of them, but each week we'll unwrap these treasures a little more and will provide tools for children to discover their dreams while defending them from life hackers.
